This
site is made possible by the coordinated efforts of the Canadian Parks and
Wilderness Society, The Pembina Institute, and Water Matters. This website was developed based on
information gathered from the Government of Alberta, reports developed by our
respective organizations, and information available from other non-governmental
organizations.
Our goals are to
feature the Land-use Framework; to provide up-to-date information to Albertans
concerned about the landscape; to encourage participation by a broad sector of
Albertans; to feature the good work of a number of organizations involved in
its process; and to promote sustainable land use, environmental protection, and the
public interest.
The information provided here is made
possible by the hard work of dozens of concerned citizens and organizations
across Alberta who have dedicated hundreds of hours to making Alberta a great
place to live. We thank everyone for their participation in this important process.
